Version Information

On this page you will find the history of the different versions of umhr. The description of each of the fixes is given along with its corresponding version number, author and date of completion. The authors make no distinction between changes in the GUI and/or FORTRAN source, revisions in either will update the corresponding version number. For students and researchers working in Professor Assanis's group, if you are currently using an older version, you can download the newest version from the dnaserver. If you are not part of this group and wish use the GUI version, please contact .

Current Build Version: 1.2.0.23

Description
Author(s)
Date
1.3.0.0 Under construction...
1.2.0.23 Included plotting of equilibrium mole fractions during calculation of the properties routine. Fixed save option in GUI that gave strange values when selecting text option.
02/14/06
1.2.0.22 Added more commenting in the FORTRAN source for better understanding.
06/01/03
1.2.0.21
Added printing capabilites to the heat release plots created with the GUI (Print Preview, Print). Also added the ability to save the plots as JPEG or PNG images (Save As Image).
05/29/03
1.2.0.20
Refixed the Krieger & Borman (1966) calculation of internal energy.
03/24/03
1.2.0.19
Fixed Woschni, Lefeuvre, Dent and Kornhauser heat transfer correlations. Fixed problem with mass fraction burned diagram...during integration of the heat release in order to calculate the heat release, the crank angle resolution was not taken into account. Also fixed plotting issue regarding the use of the TDC adjustment parameter. Added ntdll.dll to the GUI installation program because a user needed this dll to run the program.
03/18/03
1.2.0.18
Added Krieger & Borman (1966) calculation of internal energy in the cylinder. If selected, the program calculates the constant volume specific heat based on this internal energy (and their reference temperature). Changed heat transfer graphs and saved files to reflect the fact that they are calculated on a per crank angle degree basis (correlations are per second basis and changed within the program to per degree basis). Fixed Annand & Pinfold (1980) and Kornhauser & Smith (1994) heat transfer correlations - At TDC, the piston speed equals zero which gives erroneous heat transfer rates [1/Sp(TDC) = #inf].
02/26/03
1.2.0.0
Created FORTRAN dll to be called with a Visual C++ GUI. Fixed some bugs in the different subroutines. Adding plotting features to GUI. Incorporated equilibrium packages to account for thermodynamic properties.
01/09/03
1.1.0.0
Took initial version and created stand-alone FORTRAN program. Fixed some bugs in the different subroutines.
07/19/02
1.0.0.0
Initial version of umhr. Subroutines created and checked for errors. Initially created in Visual C++ with direct calls to FORTRAN subroutines
04/03/02

Version is a 64-bit number that is broken up into four components: a.b.c.d
a
- major version
b - minor version
c - custom number
d - build number
